Hammerfest Strøm has designed HS1000™ based on tested technology from the prototype, HS300. HS1000™ is a 1 MW pre-commercial unit. HS1000 will be installed at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) , and is expected to be fully operated in 2011. The supplier of HS1000™ will be Hammerfest Strøm UK Ltd.
