By using tested technology the company will deliver turn-key power stations to the global energy market. Hammerfest Strøm has several ongoing projects:

• The prototype
• HS1000™
• Environmental studies

These projects have different intentions:

• The prototype delivers knowledge and is the company’s research centre.
• HS1000™ is the first full scale demonstration model that is developed by Hammerfest Strøm. The goal is that it will be the first tidal turbine in the world’s first tidal power station.
• The environmental studies are conducted to document the impact the tidal turbines has on the environment.
