ANDRITZ HYDRO Hammerfest develops and supplies turn-key tidal power arrays to the global energy market. The Company was established in 1997 by the local utility company Hammerfest Energi. Today the Company has offices in Hammerfest, Norway and Glasgow, Scotland. We aim to build UK as a reference market, and have established a Joint Venture with a Scottish utility company to develop several tidal power projects.
 
The technology developed by ANDRITZ HYDRO Hammerfest has received international attention, and it is regarded as one of the leading technologies in its field. The technology is based on experiences from technologies and solutions used in hydro-power, wind energy and offshore oil & gas industries, with focus on sustainable solutions, - and has been tested for extended periods to verify its reliability and efficiency.
